Costume: When Alister is using his powers the area around him becomes dark, and what would appear to be a black cloud forms wings on his back and horns on his head and shrouds his hands and feet. (This is pure aesthetics, no practical purpose) When he casts a spell the same looking cloud will shoot out of his hands towards his foe.
Scars/Tattoos/Marks: On his left forearm he has a tattoo of a Demon, it is scarred right on top of it, making it a bit more hellish looking, but also hard to make out.
What Makes You Tick?
Powers:
- Dark Arts- Alister has spent much time studying the dark arts. He is able to cause untold forms of pain using his magics. He can use this pain to heal himself.
- Summoning- Alister is able to use his affinity for magic to create minions, which can only be described as demons, called Despons. They are very skilled in physical combat, and supernaturally strong and agile. They are also able to fly short distances. They carry two double sided blades.
- Minor Telepathy- Alister is very persuasive. If you look into his eyes during a conversation he will hold sway over your mind, and any command he would give you would be compelled to carry out.
Weaknesses:
- Frailty- Alister is a human. He is able to be killed. Working in tandem with that, as Alister believes in pain he has not spent much time on defensive magics. He is a master of offense and death, but if some one were to overcome his minions and survive his onslaught it would not take much to put him down.
- Demons- Alister can only sustain 6 and keep his offense up at the same time. They are also weak to light and holy magic. They are his only line of physical defense. They are not invulnerable however, and able to be killed by physical means. If some one overcame them, and got close enough to Alister to land a blow, he would be done for.
- Pain- Alisters source of power is tied into his personality. In order to have access to them he needs to cause pain or else his powers begin to go awry.
Weapons:
- Other than his magic, Alister always carries a few scalpels and other such cutlery with him, to sate his sadism.
Unique Skills:
- Genius- Alister has a doctorate in psychology, biology, physics, world history and economics and an M.D.
- No fear- Alister is insane. He enjoys pain, and torture. He is not afraid of anything because he doesn't understand that what you are threatening to do to him is a bad thing. He also believes himself to be capable of finding a way out of any situation.
- Master Planner- Alister is a problem solver. Able to quickly analyze problems and find the best solutions, he always has several plans up his sleeve, and can come up with more on the fly.
Character Information
Character Personality:
Alister has what some would call unique tastes. He finds pleasure in others sufferings. In watching others run through mazes, and jump through hoops, only to find disappointment at the end. He enjoys playing mind games with his friends and enemies alike. He will never give a straight answer, he will try to direct a person to investigate themselves.
Alister finds physical pain and torture entertaining, and has no qualms with causing all sorts of both. He is not what most psychologists would call sane. He would say, "I have a Ph.D in psychology, what does that say about them?". Beyond all of Alisters character 'defects' he is a genius. He is able to think into situations and see outcomes most would never anticipate. He is able to manipulate people and events to spur his enemies and friends alike towards those outcomes.
Ultimately Alister believes himself to be overwhelming. That he is so good at what he does that people need him, good and bad alike.
Character History:
Alister was born to a wealthy British family living in the U.K. He was raised constantly being told that he would be a successful doctor, or businessman. Whatever he did, he had to be excellent at. At a very young age Alister became frustrated with life. He was bored. His parents lives were so.....mundane to him. They worked, spent money, and sat around and watched their stuff. He didn't want to lead such a boring life. But his parents were strict, often beating him if he expressed such sentiments. As Alister entered high school people began noticing things that were not quite right. Not only the bruises from his parents beatings, but also things Alister did to other kids. He would play horrible mind games with them. He would talk to them and they would then turn around and do horrible things. His peers often had no recollection of the event, those that did remember feeling as though they had no choice but to do what he asked. Alister realized he was pushing his luck and stopped doing it so actively.
Four years pass and Alister graduates number one in his class. He gets accepted into Stanford Medical School. In just three years Alister graduates with an M.D. and a Ph.D in psychology. He then goes back to school and gets his Ph.D in biology, physics, world history, and economoics. There were several more rumors of students having conversations with him and then maiming themselves and other such atrocities, but no concrete evidence. At the end of seven years total Alister has six doctorates degrees. But he is still bored. While studying history something piqued his interest in particular. Adolf Hitler. Not necessarily the man or his ideals, but his ability to stave off a technological juggernaut with 'magic'. Alister wasn't sure he believed in it, but if Hitler could do it, and the Allies and other lesser men under Hitler could figure it out, Alister most certainly could.
He traveled to Germany and began searching. His investigations led him to traverse the entire globe more than twice. Finally after two and a half years of searching he found a book. Hidden in Washington D.C. Alister simply commanded the security guard to steal it for him and hide it. The security guard took the rap for it, and Alister went and collected his prize. He then disappeared. He spent the next 6 years studying this book, and other source material trying to unlock its secrets. One day, trying to perform one of the rituals from the book something went terribly wrong. A tattoo of a demon appeared on Alister's forearm and began to glow. He felt a burning sensation flow through his entire body, and then he heard a voice. A deep ominous voice. He could not make out what it said, but a black cloud appeared in front of him, and attacked the tattoo. It dove into his body, leaving the tattoo scarred.
The year is now 2010. Alister has unlocked the secret that Hitler never found. With that comes a heavy price though. Alister must appease this darkness, must give into its sadism constantly in order to maintain his new powers. Alister gladly begins to oblige........

The Sample:
A new day had dawned for Alister. He was now in control of a power greater than anyone had ever seen. He understood and fathomed mysteries that no one else had even scratched the surface of. Now instead of hiding his darkness, he would use it. He had traded shame.... for power. He stepped out onto the streets of London, put on his fedora and began walking. He would start here. What used to be the center of the world, a long time ago.
He turned the corner and continued, bumping into several people as he went. Alister barely noticed. He was contemplating. Planning every move, possible move, and possible outcome for what he had in mind. He was going to enter the old parliament building, and create chaos. He was going to display his power to the world. This would bring some annoying enemies, but he wanted to see what allies he may have in this new world he had entered. When they saw who he was and what he could do they would flock to him. That or they were fools, and he wouldn't want anything to do with them.
