On the edge of a rooftop, crouched down, one hand resting on his left knee, right hand lightly touching the ground to keep his balance. His goggles were, at present, pulled down over his eyes, and lit up with a soft blue glow, and had a rapid stream of text flashing across them. "I see... So, the crime level here is above the usual, even for this country. Drugs and all types of theft, mostly..."
The glow faded from the goggles with a light 'click' sound, and then he grinned. "All right, time for Runner to dish out some justice." He stood up to his full height, cracked his knuckles, stretched for a moment, then backed up a few meters. He tensed up for a moment, then shot forward, leaping off the edge of the building and soaring out over the void below for several long seconds before he hit the next rooftop.
He kept this up for the next several minutes, going from rooftop to rooftop without pause or slowing down. And although he was going nowhere near as fast as he could, he was still making extremely rapid progress. And soon enough, he caught wind of a situation which would need his attention. Some kind of shady business, probably the drug deals he had read about. Just the thing to break up the boredom!
Pulling out one of his Vaulters, he extended the staff to seven feet, then stepped off the side of the building, falling toward the ground below in a 'freefall' fashion. Just as he was about to hit the ground, he rolled to cushion the impact slightly, and then was on his feet again, with no less than ten men staring at him. "Maybe this wasn't the best of ideas..." Runner mumbled to himself. "But no time to think about that now..."
He dropped into a combat stance, his staff held behind him in one hand, running near parallel with his spine, his other arm held out in front of him, palm toward his opponents, fingers just slightly clenched. "I'm pretty certain that that stuff isn't legal by any means, so there's no way I'm letting it get out! Now give up, or I start cracking skulls!"
It was a bluff, in a certain sense. He would definitely crack and break some bones, but not the skull; too much risk for death there. But...no need for them to know that.
However, his ultimatum was met with various obscenities and counter-ultimatums, as well as all of the men assembled drawing various firearms and weapons. Yeah...definitely not my best idea...
