Hair: A light blonde. It is rather wispy and it seems as if he may be going bald.
Civilian Attire: He wears whatever is at hand, whatever he can 'acquire'. He keeps himself looking decent enough, most of the time, but he's not exactly worried about fashion, and so his clothing can be a little odd at times.
Costume: When Jacob 'transforms' into Technofiend, his entire body turns into what seems to be a mass of energy. His eyes stream blue sparks, and his hair turns into what seems like white flame. His attire as Technofied is...well...when you're a mass of energy, clothing is rather unnecessary, ya know?
Scars/Tattoos/Marks: Jacob doesn't have any scars whatsoever, but his body is covered with a multitude of tattoos, mostly of various forms of energy and the like.
What Makes You Tick?
Powers:
- Energy Manipulation: As Technofied, Jacob is capable of manipulating and controlling various types of energy. He can do nearly anything, from releasing highly destructive blasts, to forming defensive barriers, to flight, or various other uses.
- Teleportation/Energy Travel: As Technofiend, Jacob is capable of disappearing into nearly any form of ambient energy, and travelling along or through it to another destination.
- Technopath: Jacob is capable of manipulating technology with an extremely high level of proficiency. He can reconfigure nearly any machine to do nearly anything, and when he transforms into Technofied, he can go even further, and manipulate the parts of the machine themselves, thereby assembling, disassembling, or re-arranging the parts of said machine. With this ability, he is even able to interact with machines and technology on a molecular level, controlling them as if they were his own body.
- Invulnerability: As Technofied, Jacob is all but impervious to most types of physical assaults. Being made of energy, all but a few materials will pass right through him, doing no harm. And those that can 'touch' him rarely cause harm, as...well, there's not really anything to harm.
- Altered Physiology: As Technofiend, Jacob has no need for sustenance or air. He can even survive in the vacuum of space for an undetermined period.
Weaknesses:
- Still Human: When not transformed into Technofied, Jacob's only real power is his Technopathy, and as such, he is quite vulnerable to being assaulted and harmed in any way any other human could.
- Necessity for Energy: Unfortunately, Jacob can't create energy from nothing, with the exception of the energy his body is made of. For all other forms of energy, there must be some source readily available, and within twenty yards of Technofiend.
- Limitations: When teleporting or travelling through energy, there is a distinct limit to just how far he can go... At most, he can go five miles, perhaps six if he's pushing it, otherwise he will begin to break down and be unable to reconstitute himself at a viable 'exit point' from the energy source.
- Invulnerable Exceptions: Despite his seeming invulnerability as Technofiend, there are actually several ways to harm him. As stated, most forms of physical matter go right through him. However, almost all types of magic, especially water, are devastating and will disrupt his energy-based form, perhaps even resulting in him changing back to his human form, where he is just as vulnerable as anyone else.
- Stamina: Despite his physiology being so obviously altered while Technofied, there is one flaw...his stamina remains consistent, meaning he is still subject to the need to rest every now and then. His stamina, despite his powers, is only roughly equivalent to the peak levels a human could maintain their performance.
Weapons:
- Jacob doesn't carry any weapons with him. To be honest, he doesn't really use weapons of a natural sort. Rather, whatever he can make from machines, he uses. This has ranged anywhere from conventional weapons, such as firearms and the like, to a high-yield bomb (thankfully, it was prevented from detonating). In theory, there's no weapon he couldn't use if he wanted to, but he prefers not to use them unless necessary.
Unique Skills:
- Hacker: Even without his technopathy to help him, Jacob is still quite a skilled hacker. He's no expert, but he's more than good enough for most tasks he needs to do without use of his powers.
- Intelligence/Quick Thinker: Jacob is an extremely quick thinker, and his mind is nearly constantly occupied with many, many different thoughts. It is very diffucult to catch him off guard or take him by surprise, as in his constant, rapid stream of thoughts and ideas, he's already considered the possibility of whatever you might be planning before you have more often than not.
