Gehenna... The planet was entirely unpleasant, to say the least. Despicable, especially in its lower levels. It was not an understatement to say that Jade was...extremely hateful of the place. But nonetheless, it did not excuse him from his duty. And on this particular 'visit' to the prison planet, he was doing nothing more than 'escorting' a rather dangerous criminal. Under orders, of course.
He first arrived on the planet in Abaddon, of course. And he escorted his charge through the base and down into the planet. He could have easily let the guards take over, but...he couldn't help but let curiosity get the better of him. While he was here, it wouldn't do to leave without 'checking' on some of the more dangerous, criminal supers he had put here.
Most likely they were still right where he had left them, in Jahannam or, in some cases, the Abyss. And besides...it was just the right thing to do, checking in. And as he made his way through Purgatory, toward the lower levels that were known as Jahannam. And as he entered that level and cast a glance around, he let out a sigh. Nothing had changed since he had last dropped off a criminal here.
Not that there was much to be changed, to be honest.

Neil leaned back in a rather uncomfortable chair, pretending to snooze. Keeping his eye barely open, he watched as the guard exited the room he was in, presumably to check on some oafs beating the snot out of each other. Slipping from his chair and activating his stealth power, he crept out of the cafeteria, which was now empty, and began slinking down the hall, trying to find the route to Purgatory, where he could escape. That is, if the prison break didn't go horribly, horribly wrong.
Sliding past some inmates, who didn't seem to notice him, Neil began putting together a plan in order for him to get out. What kept guards preoccupied? Riots. Still invisible to the naked eye, he shot a quick glance at a couple of bulky inmates nearby. Neil quickly walked over to said inmate and kicked the man in the shin, essentially framing the man standing next to the now roaring prisoner. Rushing from the scene, he stole a quick look over his shoulder, seeing that the two were now beating each other with whatever they could get their hands on, and bowling over other prisoners, prompting more fighting.
Neil grinned as he turned a corner and prepared to instigate a second riot. He spotted someone who seemed to be from the military, but most likely the guy would be more focused on stopping the fighting than preventing a single inmate from escaping. Hopefully. Otherwise, shit was about to go very wrong.

And it seemed that no sooner did he arrive in Jahannam, than a riot broke out. "Trouble seems to have a habit of finding me..." he mused. Turning around and facing back in the direction he had come from, a dull glow started to flicker around him, then became infused with deep, amber colored flecks of light. "O earthen barrier... Crystal Wall." And as he spoke these words, a literal wall of transparent crystal enveloped the corridor.
"No one will be getting out. The only issue is no one will be getting in, either." He turned back around and almost immediately, he caught sight of a shadow...with nothing to cast it. His eyes narrowed and he lifted one arm, holding it ready as if he were about to fling a frisbee while the glow began to glow about him again, and this time blue flecks of light glowed around him. "I'll give you five seconds to explain exactly who you are. And you'd best make it a good explanation."

As Neil crept down the hall, he heard someone speaking, and turned, to see the guy from the military prompting his arm as if to perform some sort of magical attack, blue sparks flickering around the man's hands. "Shit," Neil said quietly, glaring at his shadow for a brief period and reverting to visibility. He raised his hands in the air, shooting a quick glance at the ceiling of the hall. "Well, you see, ahem," Neil replied, faking a cough. "I was, uh, doing...something." He cursed silently to himself for being such a terrible liar.
"Anyways...how are you?" he asked the man. A dark red glow began to emit from his hands, shooting towards the ceiling. The roof of the hall began to crack as Neil energized it with his corruption ability at half power, causing it to disintegrate just enough so that there would be plenty of rubble to slow down his opponent. As the ceiling began to collapse on the man from the military, Neil turned and raced down the hall, hoping he could find the route to Purgatory...

"Indeed...that much is clear enough," Jade said, his voice harboring a bitter edge. He was on guard, naturally, given that this person was capable of rendering himself invisible. Who knew what else he could do. He was so focused on Neil, he didn't notice the roof beginning to desintegrate and crumble until dust and small bits of debris began to fall around him. "What?"
He looked up and his expression changed to surprise, if only for just a moment. "Well, this might be an issue..." He jumped back out of the way of the debris that fell, unfortunately putting said debris between himself and Neil, and giving him ample chance to get away. "OH what a bother..." He lifted one arm, green sparks began to flicker around him. "Howl O raging winds, and cleave mine enemies with your blade! Turbulence!"
As he finished the incantation, a great gust of wind ripped a hole through the debris for easy enough passage through, and Jade himself was quick to make his way through and take off after Neil. He mentally cursed his lack of physical conditioning as he went, knowing Neil would get away, at least for the moment, if he couldn't formulate a plan.

Neil rushed down the hall, shooting quick, brief glances behind him frequently to see what his pursuer was doing. Some sort of weird incantation. "What the hell is he babbling about...?" Neil muttered to himself as he turned a corner and became invisible once more. Slapping several prisoners as he raced down the hall, framing more inmates and instigating more fights, he stopped to catch his breath, rendering himself visible once more. "Just my luck," he cursed, looking down the hall. Now that he thought about it, this was a terrible idea. He had absolutely no idea where the route out of Jahannam was, or what he would even do once he got to Purgatory. Just try and sneak onto a leaving transport without getting caught?
"I've gotten this far," he said to himself, feeling stupid as he did so. "Might as well try and go all the way." Taking a deep breath, he began to dash down the hall once more, going invisible once more, and hoping to high heaven that he could get out of this hell-hole before he got caught. Doubtful, though.

It was easy enough to follow the wannabe escapee, but Jade just couldn't seem to actualy catch up to him. Following the path of all the riots breaking out, it wasn't exactly easy going, which was probably why he wasn't able to catch up. He somehow got pulled into every fight he passed by, but he managed to subdue the agressors quickly enough. All it took was a few well-placed strikes, and they would drop to the ground, unconscious or temporarily paralyzed.
"It's clear he has no idea where he's going. The route to Purgatory is the other way. The only thing this way is the paths down to the Abyss, and...the emergency route to Purgatory. I doubt he knows of it... Most don't, save the guards, but if this one does know of it, then he's very clever."
As he went, he brought up one arm. "O mighty lord of time, enhance the actions of this soul! Haste!" No sooner had he finished the incantation, than a bright red glow erupted around his frame, then faded and his speed nearly tripled. "I must find him, and quickly."

Slowly coming to a halt and catching his breath, he ducked into a side room in the hall, slipping into the darkness of the room and obscuring his shadow for a brief moment. Having caught his breath, he leaped into the hall once more, this time not bothering to instigate any more fights, just searching for a way out. "Where the hell am I going?" Neil asked himself, cursing his poor ability to plan. Turning yet another corner, he ran straight into what appeared to be a thick iron door, covered with locks.
"This must be it," Neil said, eyes widening as he stood there, shadow in plain sight for everyone to notice. Extending his hand, a dark red glow formed and the locks began to rust away, then the door itself. Kicking through the now corrupted door, he peered into the blackness. The stairs were leading down. He was almost positive that Purgatory was above Jahannam.
"Oh no," he murmured, realizing that this was not the route to Purgatory. This was the pathway to the Abyss. And he had just released some of the most violent, dangerous criminals into Jahannam. Becoming visible once more, he turned and rushed away, as he heard shouts and whoops coming from the inky darkness. Shooting a glance back, he slammed into the man who had been pursuing him...

It took him a few more moments of running full tilt, but then he caught wind of a sound which sent a chill up his spine momentarily. And he could almost feel the evil and violence, like a dark aura, come washing out over the halls, and he instinctively knew, as he heard the loud shouts and whoops, where they came from. "The Abyss...was this his original plan in the first place, or is he planning to use this in concert with his invisibility to explore the facility at his leisure..."
He rounded a corner and literally ran into the one he had been chasing. He staggered back, almost falling, but he caught himself and shot a look at Neil which could have dropped an entire army dead in its tracks. "I don't know what you're thinking, or even if you were, but unless you want to wind up in the black pit you just opened for the rest of your natural life, I suggest you listen carefully."
"I can arrange for you to get off easy for your escape attempt, and at least avoid The Abyss, if you'll assist me in keeping the ones already there down there, or else I'll see to it you end up there yourself. Do what you must, anything you can, to distract them and keep them from getting too far, I'll take care of the rest."
Regardless of the man's answer, Jade would lift his arm, as a multitude of sparks, oscillating several different colors, everything from gold, to crimson, to jet black, and a bright, colorless glow of pure light started to rise around his frame. This must be done correctly, and worded carefully, or else I could cause unnecessary harm...

Neil cursed his terrible luck as his pursuer began to deliver orders and threats. As Jade spoke, Neil began to dwell on what his chances of getting out would be if he were to make a break for it right about now. Rather low, most likely. Sighing, he nodded to the man from the military, before turning around and rushing towards the door that he had opened, making several hand gestures as he ran.
Sliding to a halt, he saw a bulky inmate rushing towards him and swore, as a hand broke through the floor of Jahannam and a undead creature scratched its way up to the surface. Neil had figured that there were plenty of dead bodies buried down in the Abyss that could be reanimated, and he had apparently been correct. Grinning as the creature moaned and began stomping towards the inmate, who turned and fled back to the stairs, he clicked his fingers, and the zombie dropped to the ground. "That was probably a bad idea," he said to himself quietly, standing by the door to the Abyss and tripping up the next inmate to attempt to exit. Delivering a swift kick to the man's head and knocking him out cold, Neil rolled the man's unconscious body down the stairs, slamming into several more wannabe escapees...
