"Alright... Time to get down to business..."
He was on a low rooftop, just two stories, in his Runner costume, and he was crouched down, looking at the street below. There were still quite a few people out and about, as it was just beginning to get dark, but that was quite alright. The people below wouldn't pay him any mind as long as he let them be, for the most part, at least. Staying out of their midst, and off of the ground level, should keep him from being a distraction and earning the attention of the authorities.
He made sure his gloves were on securely, then reached up and pulled his goggles down over his eyes. "Let's go." And he turned away from the edge and took off at a brisk run, not even trying to go anywhere nearas fast as he could, content to just go for a bit of a run while he looked for anything out of the ordinary. Crime, in particular, was first on his list of things to intervene in, but there were a few other things he would stop to observe or step into, besides that.
As he reached the edge of the rooftop, he leaped lightly to the next building, and continued his run forward. As he neared the edge, it became clear that it was over a street, and was a bit wider than most rooftop gaps would be. Still no trouble, but he would need a bit more speed for his jump. To that end, he leaned forward slightly, lowering himself in his run and putting on a touch more speed, and then when he hit the edge, he jumped forward, arcing his body so that for the short duration of his 'flight', he was nearly paralel with the ground below.
With his landing on the other side, he rolled forward to absorb the impact and continue with his momentum. Ahead, the next building was two floors higher. With a quick run up the wall, he should be able to make it up easy enough. He changed his angle, turning toward the side of the building away from the wall, then turned back toward it, and when he leaped at it, he ran along and up the wall, then grabbed the edge of the rooftop and with a quick, strong pull, he flipped up onto the rooftop and then stopped.
Something had caught his ear. A sound, quite nearby. Someone was either following him on the rooftops, or on the ground below. Fllowing, or going the same way, or perhaps simply passing by in a much exaggerated fashion, similar to his own. He reached up and pulled his goggles up onto his forehead, then put his left hand on his hip and cracked his neck as he stared out aimlessly at the city before him, waiting for...whatever would happen.
